SEIKO EPSON, Co. was the current OEM up until now,and made the that sells the Seiko brand name watch for the SEIKO WATCH company.
In other words, even though they have the name SEIKO on it, there are many watches that were actually produced by SEIKO EPSON, Co.
Astron, Grand Seiko Quartz, Springdrive....
Now, SEIKO EPSON is, for the first time, producing watches under its own company name.
This new brand is called "Trume".
Trume means "True" + "me"
= Through a device, "Extended sensor" =

- Calorie consumption.
Prices range from 240,000-280,000 yen ($2,150-$2,500 USD).
SEIKO EPSON, Co. has accumulated all of the latest technologies from producing SEIKO brand watches.
So they made the new "Trume" brand that utilizes all of those technologies.
SEIKO EPSON didn't inform its affiliate company, SEIKO WATCH, Co., that they would be selling their own brand of watches.
SEIKO WATCH, Co. thinks it is good for SEIKO EPSON, Co. to challenge creating its own business, and is keeping an eye on them.
