I am very pleased to report that the color of the face is burgundy, more of a deep reddish-brown as opposed to "purple". It contrasts very nicely with the large hands and hour markers--very easy to read. The case and bracelet have a very glossy or polished finish. Keeping great time right out of the box. Thirteen days from date of order to arrival.
