I purchased this watch new in Tokyo at Tobu Dept store in Ikebukuro in 2006. The fit and finish is exceptional and what really sold me was the 24HR internal bezel so I could set up 3 time zones. The watch however is heavy and more importantly is tall and sits high on the wrist. After nearly 5 years of trouble free enjoyment I sold the watch for almost exactly what I paid for it at the time. feel free to compare it to a Rolex GMT - the Seiko wins hands down!

After a couple of years, the watch randomly stop even when there are 36 hours left on the power reserve. Spring Drive can only be serviced in Japan - and cost about US$800. Prospective buyers should bear that in mind.

I ahve had this particular watch since 2007 and after three years its power reserves dwindle. Then I realise no matter how good is the watch it has to be services and all GS has to be sent back to Japan for some seven week service before it come back to its glorious condition as elegant as accurate as ever.

I loved my watch: accurate, good looking, practical. But note the past tense: after about 15 months it would stop after about 2 days if not worn, versus the 3 day (72 hours) power reserve which was in eveidence at the beginning. Then, after having it about 18 months, it began to stop randomly, despite being fully wound, especially if not worn, or at time of little movement (such as sleeping!). Amazing quality timepiece. Second hand resembles movement of electric wall clock in smoothness. Has only lost 2 seconds in 2 months! Unreal accuracy. Well worth the money.
