Awesome watch, its running at +2 once the mainspring is fully loaded, the bracelet is nice but still uses that cheap seiko clasp, but the actual case and dial oozes quality, its amazing, they could drop a 6R20 in to it and charge double for it, and it will still be worth it, the craftmanship on the case and dial is amazing, it dosnt get the full 10 marks becuase the clasp is just below the quality of the rest of the watch,

I received the SARB 059 on September 15, from Seiya-Japan. Due to a postal mistreatment the first day I put it my SARB059 on my wrist it was ticking at +90min/24h. I took to my watchmaker here in Athens and when the case was open, the 6R15B was revealed having the balance spring twisted. The new Seiko`s "etachron-like" regulator (looks just like the ETA pining system), is very adjustable and now the 6R15B keeps approximately -2 sec per 24h (within the COSC). The 21,600 bph is an important factor for longevity and low maintenance. A movement with such specifications gives basis on the rumors, that Seiko plans on making the 6R15B into a chronometer grade and perhaps in the near future to have a ETA 2824/2892 replacement. Case – dial - hands and the Hardlex. The watch uses the same big case as the diver’s – SKX series (007, 009 and 011) (perhaps too big for an Alpinst). Dial and hands are of diver’s design, equipped with the Seiko-LumiBrite and therefore are having excellent day and all night long legibility. In my opinion the only reason why this watch is not ranked as a diver’s, is that the bezel is bi-directional and doesn’t click due to its additional compass function. The bezel design gives to the watch a slim and elegant look. The only problem to this excellent combination of design and quality is the Hardlex. I believe that the vast majority of the candidate SARB059 buyers would pay an additional amount to have this watch equipped with a sapphire crystal, which is much harder (approximately three times more) and gives the watch a much better look, (the Hardlex gives the watch a cheap plastic look). Having for more than twelve years Rolex and Omega as daily beaters (under very hard treatment), never had the slightest scratch on their Sapphire and now, having the SARB059 for less than a month it has already some scratches on its Hardlex.
