After a few months of searching for an understated automatic watch I finally decided on this Seiko. The lower price compared to similar Swiss watches is only evident in the bracelet finishing (brushed rather than polished - the case finish is mirror polished - probably will buy a leather band so the case finish stands out better) and the lack of complexity of the hand pieces (no fancy arrow pointer or B or T on the second hand for instance). This watch is mispriced. If it is stamped "swiss made" under a different brand, it is going to cost 5X~10X Seiko is offering. At this rate, why are we still buying second rate Swiss brands? For the name? "What's in a name, that which we called a rose."

This watch came in last week and I have been wearing it nonstop. I love the look: simple, classy and elegant. This will go well with pretty much anything you wear, suit, jeans, etc. Solidly built and superbly designed without any unnecessary complications. Accurate timekeeping that has varied only 4 sec in the past week. Great quality for the price.
