- In the year 2000, he graduated from the fashion design department at Philadelphia Universityâ s school of Textile & Science in the USA. After that, he worked with Robert Danes who is a Haute Couture designer. He worked on Dane's entire collection during his four years in New York City.
- After he returned to Japan, he released his own "Yoshio Kubo" men's brand for the 2005 spring & summer, and then the âmuller of yoshiokuboâ ladies brand for the 2007 spring & summer season. He released the Undecorated Man" men's brand for the 2008-09 fall & winter season.
